A Month of Bold Changes
October was one of those months that reminded me why I do what I do and how far a single, persistent dream can carry us.
I began the month preparing for my acupuncture research project, tirelessly double & triple checking that everything was ready for my trip. From clinic to household along with my study’s supplies, I left no task undone. I was trying to prove (to myself) that I was not only capable and ready to pursue this accomplishment but that I could juggle all my responsibilities to ease my mom/practitioner/partner guilt that I was leaving for a week. Spoiler Alert: everyone was just fine during my absence! 😉

I traveled to Ottawa, Canada to conduct an independent study that still feels surreal to describe. I was about to successfully test the safety and feasibility of auricular acupuncture tacks during parabolic flight. Measuring the safety & feasibility of acupuncture to regulate the human nervous system was more than just an experiment, it was a meeting point between ancient medicine and the future of space exploration.

Just one week after returning home, exhausted, I attended our annual national acupuncture conference – the largest in the U.S. Being surround by so many other passionate practitioners and innovators in the health field was both grounding and electrifying. It reminded me that we all work in our own unique ways, our shared purpose is to bring more healing into our changing world.

We closed out the month with a family trick-or-treating adventure where we dressed up and visited our closest neighborhood for Halloween. The highlight was how proud our son was about his mom-made Lightning McQueen costume. Despite having been gone and utterly focused on my study in the beginning of the month, I was still able to finish his costume and manage each area of my life (perfectly aligned with Libra & Scorpio Season)

Since then, the momentum has felt almost overwhelming. I am so excited to keep boldly pursuing the path that calls to me, even when it feels uncertain or unconventional. I have already started submitting abstracts to other conferences to share the results of our experiment with the International Institute for Astronautical Sciences. Each submission feels like another ripple of that original spark. Proof that when you follow your curiosity, it can take you places you never imagined possible.
So, here’s the courage, curiosity and the quiet momentum that builds when you refuse to give up on what lights you up. Manifesting turns to Materializing. November will be a month to regulate and replenish from the excitement of last month.

As you reflect on your own October, ask yourself- Where is your courage calling you next? Keep Following it. The world needs what only you can bring.
